The Team

DeCaire Motorsports was started over thirty five years ago with Troy's father, Terry DeCaire. Terry started his race team in 1970 while racing dirt late models. The team found sucess winning seven late model championships and an amazing 110 feature wins.

1992 : Terry switched to go-karts in an effort to put his son, Troy behind the wheel of his race team. Troy found success quickly, just like his dad, winning go-kart championships throughout his career.

2004 : DeCaire Motorsports made the move to sprint cars where Troy learned how to handle the heavier high hosre power open wheel sprint cars. Currently, Troy drives his family's #41 Hurricane Race Car Chassis Sprint Car.

2005 : Troy had a very sucessful year finishing 4th in overall points with TBARA and also had a great debut in racing a USAC sprint car at the MIlwaukee Mile in Mac Steele's #0 car. Troy also had a very scarry accident in a non-winged sprint car race at Charlotte County Speedway in November which destroyed his car. The tean has bought another car for Troy in 2006 which will debut during speedweeks at Citrus County and New Symrna Speedway in Feburary.

2006 : Troy had another great year finishing 2nd in TBARA points to David Steele. He also race the Little 500 at Anderson Speedway in Indiana.

2007 : Troy captured 5 victory's with TBARA and was crowned the point Champion with TBARA. He also had victory's in some non winged sprint car races. He also traveled to Indiana to race the Little 500 again and also to Winchester Speedway.

2008 : Steve Heisler will drive the #41 for the full race season. Troy will be driving the #68 of George Rudolph Jr. He will always have a back up car provided by the 41 team.

2008 : Terry DeCaire owner of DeCaire Motorsports became the promoter of Dirt Devils Speedway in Land O Lakes, Fl. This track is a 1/5 mile dirt track for karting. Terry will continue to promote Dirt Devils in 2009.

2009 : Troy "The Tampa Terror" DeCaire will be piloting the potent #68 owned by George Rudolph Jr.

2009 : Traci DeCaire will take over the driving duties of the #01 & #41. She will be racing in the Central Florida Wingless Sprint Car Assocation series and other select series on special occasions during her rookie season.

2009 : The next generation of star DeCaire drivers is Ty DeCaire. Ty will be racing in the Florida Champ Kart League and at Dirt Devils Speedway in the 09 season.

2009 : Ryan Litt joined the team on Oct. 22 Ryan has tons of racing expierence racing everything from karts to IMSA super modifieds.

2010 : Traci DeCaire will be driving the #41 this year in both the TBARA series and the Central FLorida Wingless Sprint Car series.
