Jason Blonde #42 doesn't settle for 2nd at Berlin.
Blonde captures the feature win on last lap beating out the fast paced #81 of Troy Decaire. All 18 drivers ran a tremendous race as heard by fans " one of the best races yet". The feature race under full moon night skies set #81 DeCaire on the pole along side 20k Flint. With an invert of ten for the feature line-up #42 Blonde started inside 5th row: 9th position. Blonde made an early pace as Decaire was running at first two to three car length's ahead of the pack. The first caution with 10 laps completed set the field back in line #42 had to make strides in lap traffic and get around the powerful car of Jim Swain #46 who held spots between two, three and four the whole thirty lap ride. With the# 81 in lapped traffic #42 set sights on the win. DeCaire would not let up with his continued pace around the track. During the white flag lap #42 overtook the lead to win the feature. Mike Ling #55 who started outside 3rd row; 6th spot, finished third. If you would like to see the Stars and the Cars of the Auto Value Bumper to Bumper Super Sprint series. We will be back in action on Saturday September 26th at Berlin Speedway.

7/13/09
Here is the weekend recap for Troy DeCaire at the florabama TBARA races.  On friday night at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL Troy had some minor motor problems all night as the motor kept laying down on the starights but would run good in the turns. Troy finished a very respectable 4th. They found the problem at the motel on sat. morning when they discovered the timing was off on the engine. Then on sat night at Mobile Int'l Speedway in Mobile, AL they had an oil leak in practice but quickly fixed that problem. While running his heat race Troy dropped a tire of the racing surface on the back straight and went for a wild ride in the grass backwards then doing a couple of 360's before finally coming to a stop on the track. When the tracks rescue was slow on responding to Troy one of the crew members went to check on him since he was not moving in the car, Troy was fine just tring to get his wits about him, but because his crew member went to check on him TBARA  offcials DQ'd Troy from the heat race. So that put Troy at the rear of the grid for the 30 lap feature event. Troy then put on a show that had the fans standing on thier feet has he was rim riding around the outside of the track turning laps in excess of 130+ mph. With a few laps to go he finally got in his nose in front of Steele but a yellow came out so Troy had restart behind Steele and then TBARA decided to put cars several laps down in between Steele and Troy which should not happen when you do not count cautions but sometimes rules are made for certain situations.   Troy finished a close 2nd to Steele in the fianl rundown. According to the track promoter Troy put on a show like he has never seen before. They (track officials) are not use to watching someone pass on the outside of the track sometimes 4 wide at those kind of speeds. After the races Troy went to congratulate Dave Steele for winning the race and putting on a great show.  After Troy's 4th and 2nd place finishes and with  Dave Steele winning both races Troy dropped to second in points nine behind Steele. Both race tracks had sell out crowds for the weekend and it looks like TBARA will be going back to these tracks next year.
Troy will be off to DeSoto Super Speedway this coming saturday night July 18 to put on a another great show.

7/12/09
Troy got a close second place finish at Mobile Int'l Speedway on sat. night. Dave Steele took the win again and the sweep of the weekend.

7/11/09
Troy finished 4th in the FIve FLags Speedway feature event tonight. Dave Steele won the event over Shane Butler, Bo Hartley and Troy DeCaire. Steele set a new track record in time trials  14.124 second or 127.433 mph. on the 1/2 mile oval.

Ovid, Michigan (Saturday, July 4, 2009): A strong field of fire breathing, winged warriors known as the Auto Value / Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints were lined up for their 30-lap feature event as Jimmy Swain would lead the field down to the green, but it was outside pole sitter, Canadian Ryan Litt, who would hop out to lead the first lap.

Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame member Jeff Bloom would not let young Litt get too far out of sight, as he followed right behind him. But, Litt would not be intimidated as Bloom tried everything in his bag of tricks to get around the young Canadian.

Litt, from London, Ontario / Canada wouldn’t be denied as the driver of the BS&B Radiator Sprinter went on to take the feature win, the first feature for the Super Sprints at Owosso since 2007, and first ever for Litt at the Big “O” Bloom would settle for second, with Jimmy McCune third, two-time defending Series Champion Jason Blonde and Swain were the top five.

Derek Snyder moved up from 11th to finish a strong sixth, as Tampa, Florida invader, Troy DeCaire, Chad Goff, Michigan Motorsports Hall of Fame member Bill Tyler and Mike Astrauskas completed the top 10.

Bloom set fast time over the 21-car field with a 13.158 around the 3/8s (0.375) mile high-banked paved oval and won a heat. Goff and McCune took the other heat race wins.

BRADENTON, Fla. - Before the best crowd of the season at DeSoto Super Speedway, TBARA hot shoe David Steele hustled Harold Wertjes potent No. 14 to victory in the 30 lap winged sprint car feature Saturday night for his 61st career victory with the Tampa based club. Dude Teate was the early leader but by lap five Bo Hartley drove to the point to pace the 18 car field on the lightning fast 3/8 mile oval. Steele and point leader Troy DeCaire started mid pack and were slicing and dicing their way toward the front when a yellow flag waved on lap 14 for a spin by Ben Fritz. When racing resumed it was still Hartley setting the pace but he was beginning to feel the heat from Steele, DeCaire and Shane Butler. After some furious battling, Steele was able to work past Hartley for the top spot on lap 24 and he went on to edge Hartley for his fourth victory this season. Hartley claimed runner-up honors ahead of DeCaire, Butler and Joey Aguilar. Kipp Beard, Blaze Martin, Sonny Hartley, Fritz and Wendy Mathis rounded out the top 10 runners.          BRADENTON, Fla. - TBARA point leader Troy DeCaire notched his second consecutive victory at DeSoto Super Speedway Saturday night as he copped the 30 lap main event for the winged sprint cars.

Starting 12th in the 25 car field, DeCaire quickly blasted from his outside row starting position using his now familiar three wide passes to move to fifth on the first lap before the yellow waved for a crash by Joey Aguilar. Aguilar was uninjured but his car was finished for the night.

On the restart it was Ben Fritz in his bright red No. 16 on the point with Brad Davis, Sonny Hartley and Kipp Beard in tow. DeCaire once again jumped to the outside on the banked 3/8 oval quickly picking off cars one by one until he motored by Fritz for the lead on lap 10.

With DeCaire comfortably in front, all eyes turned to the black No. 14 of Dave Steele and he sliced and diced his way into the top five and began to close in on the fleet DeCaire. With no further yellow flags to bunch the field, Steele ran out of laps and settled for runner-up money over Shane Butler, Fritz and Beard. Completing the top 10 were Blaze Martin, Bo Hartley, Mickey Kempgens, Dakotah Stephens, and Davis.

2/15/09
The Dave Steele dominance of early season TBARA events came to a halt Saturday night at DeSoto Super Speedway as defending series champion Troy DeCaire copped the 30 lap feature run on Valentine's Day night.
Steele took the challenge offered by track promoter John Sarppraicone to start shotgun on the 18 car field for a $500. bonus and he wasted no time in heading to the front. On lap six a yellow waved for Wendy Mathis who had a mechanical problem and Steele had already gained 11 positions and his sights were on the leaders. Blaze Martin paced the field over Bo Hartley and Shane Butler, but when the next yellow flew on lap 13 Steele lay fifth in the order.
DeCaire got around Martin for the lead on lap 18 with most eyes on Steele and his steady, methodical move toward the front. A lap 23 restart saw the order DeCaire, Martin, Steele and Butler and it only took two laps for Steele to dispose of Martin and then run down DeCaire's purple mount. The final yellow of the night came on lap 28, so it would be a two lap shootout as Steele aimed for his fourth victory in as many events to kick off the 2009 season. The green waved and Steele's mount failed him on lap 29 as the driveline came apart and DeCaire sped to the victory ahead of Joey Aguilar, Martin, Butler and Mickey Kempgens.

Lord, I pray as I race today,
Keep me safe along the way.
Not only me, but the others too,
As they perform the jobs they do.
I know God, that in every race,
I, the driver must set the pace.
Let not my desire for more speed,
  Warp my judgement and turn
  into greed.

From green to checkered, guide me
through.
Giving me strength to know what
to do. Remind me often in the      race of life,
How to cope with all the strife.

Help me accept the wins I may
recieve,
And all the defeats, most graciously.
Ride with me, don't allow me to lag,
Guide me all the way to the
checkered flag.
