Ty started kart racing with a few races in 2007. Then in 2008 he raced his first full season racing in Jr.Sportsman Champ class. He had three victorys in 2008 with a fantastic fourteen top five's. Ty also likes and plays other sports like football, baseball and other team sports. Ty has worked extremly hard to be where he is at since he started racing late at the age of 10. He has learned quickly how to race and show good sportsmanship towards other drivers and teams. Ty finished 4th in the final point standings at Dirt Devils Speedway in 2008. Other drivers in his class better take notice as Ty will be making a charge for to be the class champion in 2009 at Dirt Devils Speedway plus he will be runing in the state races in 09.

Ty would like to thank his father Terry and his wife Tina, grandfather, sister (Taylor), And younger brother (TJ) and all the rest of his family and friends that helped him on his kart. Ty's fan base looks great for 2009. Ty is also looking for some sponsorship so he can race more often. Ty's complete 09 racing plans and schedule will be posted soon.

Ty will be racing the full Florida Champ Kart League schedule in 2009 plus most of the races at Dirt Devils Speedway.

Ty raced at Dirt Devils Speedway on sat night and won his feature event lapping the entire field in Jr Champ kart with brand new VEGA red tires.

Ty was at Dirt Devils Speedway this weekend . He finished first in the heat race and 3rd in the feature event. Ty had some mechanical problems that slowed his kart down in the feature but those problems have been corrected now.

FCKL was at Volusia Speedway - Ty signed up for three classes, Sportsman Champ Blue, JR Champ F/H, and Jr Champ Mix. In the Sportsman Blue, Ty won the heat race and the feature without any challenge. Ty won the heat and the feature in the JR Champ Flat Head class. A pass for the lead with only two laps left, Ty was able to outrun the field for his first Jr Champ victory. Ty said, "My Vega tires really came in at the end of the race". "I was able to get by Nick for second and the late caution set me up for the three lap dash and the win". In the JR Champ Mix, Ty once again finished fourth fighting a tight condition late in the race. Two out of three class victories was a productive weekend.

FDDS was at Volusia Speedway - Ty running the JR Champ MIX class with his TS BP power plant finished fourth. This was Ty's first visit to Volusia Speedway and a perfect testing session for the following weeks big champ races with the Florida Champ Kart League.

Dirt Devils Speedway - Ty was testing his JR Champ and TS racing BP motor and Vega tires for a future race at the Florida Champ Kart League and the WKA Florida Dirt Divisional Series race. Ty has moved up early to compete in the JR Champ classes. In the heat race, Ty jumped to an early lead and never looked back winning the heat by a straightway. In the feature, Ty once again jumped out to a size able lead starting from the pole. With a handful of laps left, a lapped car spun sand into the corner causing Ty to spin out. Restarting at the back of the field, Ty was able to race up to a second place finish.

Ty has two more years left in Jr Sportsman Champ Blue Plate, but the FCKL will allow 11 yrs old to move up early to Jr Champ. So, in the FCKL race at Fruitland Park Ty participated in three classes. In the Jr Sportsman Champ Blue Plate, Ty was running a strong second place only to have the throttle linkage come loose and ended up third due to lapping the rest of the field. In the Jr Champ flathead Ty pulled of due to a vibration and finished 7th out of 11 entries. In his third class, Jr Champ Mix (Flathead/BP Box Stock/Blk Plate Animals), Ty finished 4th out of 6 entries. Next race we should have our BP motor ready for the mix class and hope to out perform the flathead we used.

Ty's next race the WKA FDDS was rained out March 13.

Ty's next scheduled race should be the FCKL April 10 race at Volusia Speedway.

Even after a shortend race season Ty still finished 2nd in points at Dirt Devils Speedway. Ty is looking foward to an even better year in 2010.

Ty's racing season has come to a quick end when he severly broke his leg during a football game over the weekend. He his scheduled for surgery later this week. Get well cards can reach him at :

Ty had a great night a DDS. In the first feature event he got a hard fought 2nd place finish. In the second feature event Ty won the race easilyby taking an eraly lead and never looking back.

Earlier in the day he also scored two touchdowns in his football game. He was thrown two short passes in which he converted in to a 45yd touchdown and the second reception was a 40 yd touchdown. This has been a tuff month for Ty has he was on a diet and lost 22 lbs. It is hard for an 11 year old not to eat all that junk food when he has to watch his friends eat all they want to. But we are sure this will make Ty a better football player and a race car driver. Way to go Ty keep up the good work

Ty was racing at Auburndale last saturday and had a great run in his heat race with a second place finish, but did not get the set up correct for the feature and only wound up with a 4th palce finish. He will be off to Dirt Devils again on sat Aug 8.

Ty had a very strong run finishing 2nd in the Jr. sportsman blue race in the FCKL feature event sat. night at Dirt Devils. He also finished 3rd box stock jr. race. Ty's next race will be Auburdale Speedway on July 4th.

Ty wins at Dirt Devils Speedway on sat sat. night. By the end of the race he had a full straight away lead over the second place kart. It looks like they have got all the kinks out of the blue and white kart and are on a good roll win two victorys now.

Ty won his race in Jr box stk class and finished 6th in Jr Spts blue champ class at Speedway Park on sat night.

Ty finally had the night he has been waiting for all year. He got his first win of the season in his champ kart then went out and won the feature in his flat kart. A great night for a great driver.4/13/09

Ty had a rough night at Dirt Devils on sat night. The kart ran strong in practice but the crew chief missed on the set up for the feature event. Ty finished 6th not where he wanted to. As soon has the crew cheif figures out what Ty wants things will get better.

Ty had a strong run at Dirt Devils on sat. night. After being spun out early in the race he came back to finish a strong 3rd. Ty's next race will be at Dirt Devils on 4/11/09 an FCKL event.
